Well what can i say, the drive is gone. After several weeks of difficulty with my knee and a lack of funds to seek the help needed to recover, this is quickly becoming a lost cause.
Unless a miracle knee surgery while I sleep (and don't realize and wake up), this post will have to change format.
Until then...

The drive is back!
Well, as the title of this post states, the drive for the run is back, maybe its not a F1 race kind of drive, but a leisurely Sunday drive. But the important thing is I'm driving (running) again.
I started a few weeks, ok just one week, ago. I decided to try my old one mile time.
Honestly, it was too bad. I did an 8min mile, almost 2min slower. All you runners out there will say that's not very good. Actually i lost 2min on my mile in 12mths. Well, you are all correct. I did! I lost my pace and stamina. My HR jumped to 180's BPM alot fatser then i was used to. I would normally max out at 184 (ish!) during a 400m sprint at about 4.5 to 5min mile. So needless to say, i have some ground to make up.
I'm sorry, who said that... I heard something from the back of the classroom. My motivation? My brother asked if his time was good, and it was better then mine now, but not then.
He's looking into the Nike+ Human Race in NYC on August 31st 2008.
I won't be able to make it, because i have friend coming in from Edmonton, Ab. that weekend to visit.
But i will do my nest to keep you all posted on my new runs/drives.

Long absence
To my loyal viewer (singular),
i have been away for some time now and have been posting anything for a while. I have stopped running. I could come up with a million and three reasons why i stopped, but the simplest is usually the best; i didn't want to anymore. I tried it for several months straight. I hurt myself a few times and reached a few good milestones, but i lost interest. Even beating my mile pace every week of the last 2 months of training. Not enough.
I have decided to focus on work and my health and my images. I have been published twice in local school news papers and that is really motivating.
Thank you for reading and stay tuned for more updates on my growing career.

Feeling: Ok
Stretching: 5 min.
NOTES:
Took too many days off running. Last time i ran, according to this blog, is my birthday (7/12/2007). Why? you may ask. Well, i could say: "an injury", "lack is time", but the truth is i didn't make the time. I did ok, 3.5 miles with only a 100m jog at 2mi. I felt, good. No shin splints, no knee pain and no cramps. I hadn't eaten much before. Drank a whole lot before, during and after. I have to get back into it. I plan to run 5miles in approx. 50 to 60 minutes. That would mean an average of 10min/mile. try to run 20miles this week.
